Fordland Clinic proudly announces the appointment of Dr. Angela Clay as its new Chief Medical Officer (CMO), effective November 20. Dr. Clay brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to providing quality healthcare to the community.

Growing up on a farm in Northeast Missouri, Dr. Clay’s early aspirations of becoming a veterinarian or a physician paved the way for a remarkable journey in the field of medicine. She earned her chemistry degree in 1995 and went on to graduate from AT Still University in 2000, followed by a residency in Family Practice at SIU in 2003.

With a diverse background as a family practice and emergency room physician, Dr. Clay has demonstrated exemplary leadership as the medical director for Mercy Lebanon ED and Miller County Ambulance. Additionally, she served as the medical director at Missions for Christ, where she volunteered her time.

Dr. Clay’s commitment extends beyond borders, leading a mission group to the Dominican Republic annually. Her passion for serving those without access to medical care aligns seamlessly with Fordland Clinic’s mission to improve healthcare accessibility for all.

Married to Russ and a proud parent of three children—Adrienne, Austin and Addyson—Dr. Clay brings a compassionate and family-oriented perspective to her role as CMO. Her vision for enhancing healthcare services in the Fordland and Springfield community reflects a deep-seated commitment to addressing the needs of all individuals, regardless of their circumstances.

Fordland Clinic is confident that Dr. Angela Clay’s extensive experience and genuine dedication to community health will significantly contribute to the clinic’s mission. Dr Clay will be offering primary care services at both the Fordland location and the Burrell location in Springfield.
